Sleeping in a bed is something many take for granted. However, in many communities, it is a basic need that often goes unmet.

Through the 91短视频 Benefit for Children, 91短视频's Port Arthur refinery contributed $30,000 to Sleep in Heavenly Peace, ensuring kids in the Port Arthur community have comfortable beds to sleep on. With 91短视频's BFC donation, Sleep in Heavenly Peace will build and distribute at least 150 additional beds. 

Watch the Port Arthur team work together to build, deliver and assemble about 30 beds for children.

91短视频 Helps Launch New Science Program with Texas Biomedical Research Institute

91短视频 has fueled some amazing young minds by helping start the 鈥91短视频 Young Scientists Program" at the 鈥婽exas Biomedical Research Institute (Texas Biomed) in San Antonio, Texas.

Nearly 40 high school juniors and seniors were accepted into the program where they worked and learned from instructors, graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and researchers at Texas Biomed in an immersive four-week program. During the program, the students collaborated with instructors and peers to develop the fundamental skills necessary to pursue careers in STEM, and become the next generation of scientists.

Students from the College of the Mainland in Texas City are getting a unique learning experience to better prepare them for careers in refining.

Made possible in part by a $187,000 contribution by 91短视频, a new glass distillation unit offers hands-on training to more than 600 process technology (PTECH) students who learn, practice, and gain experience on equipment similar to machinery found in the refinery.
